Destruction is performed at our secure facility in Kearny Mesa under complete video (CCTV) surveillance and alarm detection. Access to our shredding facilities are controlled and monitored. Premises can be completely locked down depending on our client’s requirements. While shredding the electronic media, the process can be recorded to DVD with video verification. Recycle San Diego also ensures proper documents (i.e. Chain of Custody) are adhered to and electronic media destruction meets Local, State and Federal guidelines.
We follow NIST guidelines and the material is shredded where all residues are reduced to nominal edge dimensions of five millimeters (5mm) and surface area of twenty-five square millimeters (25 mm). This meets Department of Defense (DOD) requirements.
Recycle San Diego provides rigorous oversight of its Assured Destruction Services which includes a list of Serial Numbers and inventory of items destroyed. In addition, a Certificate of Assured Destruction is included — all fully compliant with HIPAA, FACTA, and NIST Special Publication 800-88 requirements.
