Data Destruction

Recycle San Diego understands the concern of many companies who may have the clutter of unused or obsolete electronic waste because of the fear that sensitive data may be compromised. We have made a substantial investment to provide our valued clients data sanitization as well as end of life destruction service.

We provide data sanitation and electronic recycling services in strict adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Through an unbroken chain of custody, our procedures and documentation guarantee absolute data security while ensuring full compliance with multiple regulations.

Certificate of Destruction

For your peace of mind, Recycle San Diego will issue a Certificate of Destruction as proof that any data stored within your data device has been 100% destroyed before it reaches our e-waste recycling stream.

Recycle San Diego’s data destruction service is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the most recent Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH), which expanded the scope of certain provisions in HIPAA and its enabling regulations. Portions of these Acts were established in regards to the way in which electronic data is discarded and destroyed.

To protect you against liability we have developed our data destruction and recycling process to be in strict compliance with all HIPAA and HITECH guidelines, and have processes in place to remain current on the latest local, state and federal laws regarding electronic waste disposal.
